The Macy's Culinary Council makes its national cookbook debut with Great Gatherings: Star Chefs Entertain at Home. Sixteen of America's favorite celebrity chefs share easy, fabulous food and entertaining ideas that turn meals with friends and family into fun signature parties. The cookbook will benefit Share Our Strength, one of the Nation's leading organizations working to end childhood hunger in America.
The book features a chapter and themed gathering from each member of the Macy's Culinary Council which is made up of some of America's great culinary minds such as Cat Cora, Tyler Florence, Todd English and Rick Bayless.
"This book documents how real chefs entertain their friends and family when they are not in their restaurants or cooking for large crowds," says Warren Wolfe, vice president of food services for Macy's. "The gatherings featured in this book are recipes and tips that are inspirational, but doable."

Macy's customers can see the Macy's Culinary Council in action at 20 stores across the country. The Council chefs will be demonstrating recipes from Great Gatherings, signing books and mingling with guests. Visit www.macys.com/culinarycoucil for reservations and more information on these events. Starting November 1, the Great Gatherings cookbook will be available at more than 500 Macy's stores. The book will retail for $29.95. Macy's will donate one dollar to Share Our Strength for every book sold.
